What are some of these activities?
Some of these activities include, but are not limited to:
- Organised harassment towards the individual.
This includes many facets such as street theatre, synchronised encounters in shops / in banks / in the street / in restaurants etc, noise campaigns, light campaigns, harassment whilst driving, tampering with mail etc.
- Organised stalking against the individual which can be at the individual's home address or at a different location.
- Surveillance and monitoring of the individual.
This includes many facets and includes surveillance of the individual both in their online and offline environments.
- Hacking and Identity Theft / Misusage.
- Slander / Character Assassination / Defamation of the individual (both in the real world and in the online environment).
- Blocking a person's opportunities to work and progress.
- Sabotage in the workplace.
And many more!
What are some other terms used for "Gangstalking"?
I've seen many targeted individuals online use different expressions for gangstalking. Gangstalking, however, is by far the most commonly used term which I have seen online. It's also the term which seems to be the most used on books and websites about the subject. It also seems to be the term (together with the term targeted individuals) which most targeted individuals stumble upon when they find out they are being targeted.
Some other terms which I have seen gangstalking referred to, amongst others, are:
- Multiple Perpetrator Stalking.
- Community Policing.
- Organised Harassment.
- Community Harassment.
- Street Harassment.
What's our Preferred term?
The problem with all of these terms is that they specify in their title what the action is and / or where the action is taking place. For example, some refer to it as being stalking. Some refer to it as being harassment. Some refer to it as being within the community. Even the term "Gangstalking" immediately implies a mainly 'stalking' element whilst the word 'gang' can invoke other visualisations or elements which many not necessarily be seen.
The thing is though, as we have seen above, is that a range of activities are deployed against the targeted individual. They can include stalking. They can include harassment. They can include surveillance and monitoring. They can include slander and defamation. They can include all of these and many other things.
Furthermore, such activities can take place in a range of different locations. They can take place at your home. They can take place within your own community. They can take place in the street. They can take place in a different town or city. They can take place whilst you are on holiday. They can take place whilst you are at an event, at a theme park, in the supermarket, in the bank, at the beach, even in a different country.
So, the problem with using terms like Street Harassment and even Gangstalking is that they are very restrictive in their meaning and application.
This brings us to our preferred term.
Our preferred term is "Organised Criminal Targeting".
This phrase generally encompasses all the different aspects in one slogan.
Organised; a targeted victim has multiple perpetrators and it's organised at wherever you are located, wherever you go and whatever you do. Furthermore, such activities are organised and targeted towards a specific individual in an individualised program of harassment and targeting.
Criminal; as we have seen, the activities used against the targeted victim are numerous in range and nature but they generally have a common background - that being the activities themselves are either criminal in nature, come under a wider criminal umbrella (such as harassment), or have the potential to be criminal in nature. Collectively, they are being used, as mentioned above, in an individualised program of harassment and targeting against the victim.
Targeting; Targeted against the victims and the victims alone.
