Thursday Thoughts - Brings some Flowers back home from the Shop today - Targeted Individuals

Fresh Flowers
Once Christmas has passed, the month of January can feel like a long month. But, already the nights are getting slowly lighter.

The time at which the sun sets is now gradually getting slightly later every day, rising roughly a few minutes each day.

By the end of February, the sun will set around 5.32pm to 5.37pm.

Only 10 weeks away from now, on Sunday March 29th, the clocks will change. At this point, the sun won't set until nearly 8pm and the evenings will continue to get lighter.

Spring is definitely on the way.

Spring and summer can have a powerful positive impact on mental health. The warmer temperatures and increased daylight hours can improve mood, energy and focus while reducing symptoms of seasonal depression.

Spending more time outdoors encourages physical activity and social interaction, both of which are strongly linked to lower stress and anxiety.

Gardens will begin to bloom again and birds will begin to chirp. The return of greenery, flowers, and brighter light provides sensory stimulation that can feel restorative and hopeful, often fostering a renewed sense of motivation, optimism, and emotional balance after the darker winter months.

A few more weeks isn't long for this wonderful transformation to take place.

So, for today's Thursday Thought, why not bring yourself some flowers home from the shop. They are a simple but powerful way to bring a touch of springtime feeling into your home, even with a few more weeks still to go until the season fully arrives.

Fresh blooms add colour, life, and natural beauty to indoor spaces, helping to lift the mood and break up the greyness of winter. Their scent, texture, and vibrant tones can evoke the sense of renewal and optimism associated with spring, offering a small but meaningful reminder that brighter, longer days are on their way.

This intentional moment of care and connection with nature can create a calming, uplifting atmosphere, making your home feel warmer, fresher, and more hopeful as you look ahead to the change of season.
