"There's always two sides to every story".
As the saying suggests, different perspectives can exist in any situation. It is important to mention a caveat here - it's fair to say that not all perspectives are equally valid, especially in cases involving clear wrongdoing or harm.
But, for most things, there is usually always two opposing and equal sides to a story. Even some of the biggest ticket items of the day you will find two opposing sides.
Take the topic of "Climate Change". There are those who think climate change is real and that it will be apocalyptic for the earth. There are those who think climate change is a complete hoax and nothing has changed or nothing is changing. Then, there are those in the middle who think climate change has happened and is happening and the weather has changed - but it's not as bad as the real doom-mongers set out. So, with climate change there are at least three clear sides to the argument.
With covid, similar differences also exist. You have those who believe all the lockdowns were essential and that these lockdowns will have to happen again if there's another pandemic. This camp will also probably take whatever vaccines they are given. Then there are those who are now vehemently opposed to any future lockdowns and even vaccines. Then, there's those in the middle who will take a view based on what they believe is right for them, at that moment in time.
It's not just Covid or Climate Change either. I could think of any topic off the top of my head and you can bet your bottom dollar there'd be alternative stories and alternative sides of the coin based on that topic. The subject of immigration is a hot topic at the moment and I see many different views, opinions and stories on this subject.
But, you get my point.
The point is, whatever the topic, there's usually always two sides to that coin which are put forward. At least two sides. Sometimes more than two sides.
So, what about the subject of individuals who identify as Targeted Individuals?
What are the two sides to this story?
Well, let's start off with the more official side.
Doctors and those in authority can often label a person who says they are being harassed and stalked by many people within their community as paranoid, suffering from delusions, and someone who needs help with their mental health.
It's the same with the absolutely miniscule proportion of the media who have covered the story and who also tend to be less favourable towards targeted individuals, also referring to them as suffering from a state of paranoia. There's also a limited number of research papers which suggest the same.
Even the results of our own recent X poll confirmed that nearly 50% of the targeted individuals we polled were diagnosed as delusional by the doctor even though they told the doctor they were being group-harassed within their community.
So, on the 'official' side - the story is basically one of paranoia - that targeted individuals are a paranoid breed, a paranoid bunch, who are in a constant state of paranoia and who are suffering from persecutory beliefs which they say don't exist and which aren't happening.
Indeed, if you look at virtually any official site, media site or limited research papers on the subject, you will usually only see this side. Not always I hasten to add. One or two newspaper articles do provide the opposite side. Even a couple of research papers I've read end with an important caveat that psychiatric doctors need to start helping the person in co-operation with that person, rather than giving their own judgement and personal beliefs based on something which they simply do not know is happening to the targeted victim or not.
So, that's one side of the story.
But what about the other side of the story?
The side of the targeted individuals themselves?
TIs often describe being "sensitised" through repeated exposure to specific stimuli or patterns, which conditions them to recognise harassment cues that appear ordinary or coincidental to everyone else. For instance, everyday actions like someone coughing as they pass by, wearing certain colours, or making particular hand gestures are interpreted as intentional signals or "anchors" meant to intimidate or remind the TI of their targeted status.
This "sensitisation" process can start gradually, building up over time so that the TI becomes hyper-aware of these triggers, while bystanders remain oblivious because the behaviors blend seamlessly into normal life.
Proponents of this view argue that the harassment relies on "gaslighting" tactics, where perpetrators manipulate the TI's perception of reality to make them question their own sanity, further isolating them.
Techniques like "street theatre" - staged interactions or conversations nearby that incorporate personal details or conditioned words - are crafted to seem like random occurrences.
Electronic elements, such as alleged "voice-to-skull" technology or directed energy devices, are reported by TIs as transmitting messages or causing physical sensations and pain directly to the TI without affecting others.
The reason others don't notice, as explained by TIs, is that them and only them have been sensitised to the harassment events they now experience and it's them and only them who are being specifically targeted. They also describe how the operation is compartmentalised: most participants (often called "perps") are recruited unknowingly or for minor roles, and the overall system is engineered for plausible deniability, making it easy to dismiss reports as paranoia.
In TI communities, this invisibility to outsiders is seen as a feature of the program, intended to discredit the victim and prevent help-seeking. Family, friends, or authorities might not intervene because they can't perceive the patterns, or in some narratives, because they're unknowingly influenced or threatened into compliance.
Online forums and support groups emphasise that only those who've been through similar experiences can truly understand, often advising against trusting mental health professionals who might label it as delusion.
TIs see gangstalking as a sophisticated form of psychological warfare - possibly tied to government, corporate, or ideological motives - where the TI's heightened awareness is proof of the targeting they endure rather than a symptom.
So, when you next read the more official side of what a TI is - that is just someone who is paranoid all of the time and that these things aren't happening - please take the same amount of time to read the other side. The opposing side. The side of the TI.
After all, as the saying goes - "there's always two sides to every story" 💗
