Noise Campaigns - Car Horns Beeping outside your Home

If your community stalkers like to beep their horns when driving past your home then try and train yourself to get on with your things you're doing and simply ignore them.

Put some background music on that you enjoy listening to, or some TV on you enjoy.

If it helps, and you enjoy listening to music or you enjoy watching the TV, then you can buy some normal headphones or some Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) headphones. Wired or wireless versions are available.

The wireless versions tend to operate via Bluetooth so you can connect your headphones wirelessly to your devices (where your devices allow it) such as making a connection to your mobile phone or your TV. I connect up to my mobile phone all of the time to listen to music. However, I have an older TV set which isn't too good with its Bluetooth connection so I can't link up to my TV set unfortunately.

Remember: that if you do decide to use headphones, you still need to have a general awareness as to what's going on around you just for safety purposes. For example, you still need to be able to hear smoke alarms in your house (if you have them installed) as a safety / precautionary measure. Nowadays, you can install smoke alarms which are linked, so if one smoke alarm goes off in your house they all sound off. This way you're never too far away from hearing a smoke alarm if you use a linked set up 👍. Even some of the ANC headphones come with an app where you can adjust the settings of your headphones. On my headphones, you can adjust these settings and choose the "Aware" mode so that you can still listen to music whilst still being aware of your surroundings and this is something which we personally do 👍

I use headphones every day now. They are great for having your favourite music closer to your ear. When you listen to music, especially good music, it can make you feel better and put you in a better place. Listening to music is good for your heart and soul 💗

Headphones and ANC headphones vary widely in price, but you can get many decent sets for around the £50 to £100 mark. These wireless bluetooth noise cancelling headphones from Sony on Amazon have great reviews and are considerably cheaper at just under £70.

Using headphones will allow you to get on with some of your tasks whilst listening to TV or music that you enjoy 👍
