If your community stalkers like to beep their horns when driving past your home then try and train yourself to get on with your things you're doing and simply ignore them. Put some background music on that you enjoy listening to, or some TV on you enjoy. I'm in my fifties now and my hearing isn't as good these days as it once was - so I usually have the TV on a high volume just so I can hear what they're saying on the Tele anyway.
If it helps, and you enjoy listening to music or you enjoy watching the TV, then you can buy some noise cancelling headphones - either wired or wireless versions.
The best ones by far are Bose QuietComfort Ultra but they are very expensive. I have these headphones and they are excellent at blocking out background noise. I hardly use them to be honest. The car beeping outside became so repetitive where I live that it became overused as a tool by my local goons. I always have the TV on every day and very often music too. I simply miss a lot of the stuff now as it just doesn't have the same effect anymore and it no longer registers the same way. I still enjoy using the headphones and these bad boys really are very good.
But, you can get far cheaper ones which I am sure will do a very similar job. These wireless bluetooth noise cancelling headphones from Sony on Amazon have great reviews and are considerably cheaper at just under £70.
Using noise cancelling headphones will allow you to get on with some of your tasks whilst listening to TV or music that you enjoy. They will help to block any external noises out. If the car horns bother you, then definitely give some noise cancelling headphones a try 👍
