The Importance of Finding Purpose - Targeted Individuals

Finding Purpose

Back in October 2025, we ran a post on the importance of having a daily routine and structure in your life. As the post explains, having a routine provides structure, stability, and a sense of control into your life. A routine helps ground the mind and can help bring positivity into your life through purposeful and engaging activities throughout the day.

Today's post builds on this first post by looking at the importance of finding purpose and meaning.

Targeted individuals often find themselves socially isolated, cast aside as outcasts and excluded from the normal participation in their community which everyone else continues to enjoy. They can be left feeling they have little value because their value is no longer recognised, respected, valued or indeed wanted. They can be left feeling far less purpose, far less meaning.

This book from Shad Helmstetter - Having Meaning, Finding Purpose: An Answer to the Loss of Meaning and Value in a Chaotic and Changing Worldmay be of some help.

The book explains how to find meaning and discover purpose for yourself even in the toughest of times. It covers meaning and purpose, looks at where you are today, and helps you to establish your own personal goals and plan to define your own meaning and purpose. It even provides a list of 100 practical purposes.

The purpose does not have to be connected with what you do for a job or a living. It can be something completely different. The book helps you brainstorm your own meaning and your own purpose for your own life and your own situation.

The book can help you find new meaning and purpose in your life as it is today and give you new direction and focus.

Having meaning and purpose in your life, as well as routine, can help bring positivity into your life and positive mental health wellness.

We've added the book to our growing Useful Resources List where you can find lots of other resources which may or may not be of help.
