Which Region are You Located in? - Targeted Individuals - Results from a Recent X Poll

We ran an X poll on our X account @TheEverydayBrit on the 5th December where we asked the following question:

To Targeted Individuals: For those experiencing targeting / harassment: Which region are you located in?

44 people responded.

- 26 people (59.1) said they were located in the Americas and Canada.

- 10 people (22.7%) said they were located in Europe and the UK.

- 5 people (11.4%) said they were located in Asia and Oceania.

- Finally, 3 people (or 6.8%) were located in Africa and the Middle East.

It's probably worth noting that the results do not necessarily mean that there are more individuals who identify as targeted individuals living in the Americas and Canada. The results could literally be down to the possibility that there are more users who live in the Americas or Canada that use X and have answered this particular X poll.

However, what can be gleamed from the results is that people who identify as targeted individuals are located around the world.

This map on the TargetedIndividuals.Ir website perhaps shows the situation more clearly. The map was last updated in September 2021 where a total of 1856 people had registered their location. The location tags are across every continent and in many countries.

I have seen several people on social media ask the question as to whether there is a safe country for people to head to. No one seems to know and I've yet to see a definitive answer.

I have also seen several people who have stated that they have moved to a new location within their own country and several people who have even moved to a completely new country and, in both cases, they said that the harassment experiences continued at their new locations. I myself have moved both to a new house and to a new country without success.

Even when you go on vacation somewhere the harassment often continues. 92% of people on our recent X poll stated that the harassment continued even when they were on holiday.
